Volunteer Spotlight: Marie Klinch

Profession: Clinical Trial Specialist

Current pets:

Just two rescued cats…Maddie – senior, overweight, and somewhat neurotic and Callie – known as “pigpen”, addicted to love and rolling around in anything gross.

How long have you been a volunteer? About a year now

How were you introduced to PAWS?

Debra Cameron Klinch is my wonderful daughter-in-law…did I have a choice?

Really, I am so glad to have the opportunity to associate with caring people who care for those who cannot care for themselves. Each and every one of you is a true hero!

What do you do as a volunteer?

I take care of the “Thank You’s” for donations to PAWS and occasionally foster when not traveling for work.

I fostered sweet Paris, who not only stole food, but a bit of my heart.

Bama was mine for only a week…and I didn’t want to let the big slug go, he is so squishable!

I love participating in PAWS events when I can…have to get the occasional fix of puppy love and kisses.

Favorite Volunteer Moment

Seeing first-hand (my brother adopted Espresso) what a forever home with lots of love can do for these pups…and what the unconditional love these pups offer can do for their new family.

Great picture of you and Paris! I’m so proud of my mother and sister-in-law for the volunteer work they do with PAWS. Amazing people…amazing organization…for such amazing pups.
