Kelly Parker

My name is Kelly Parker and I am one of the co-founders of PAWS New England.

I helped found this organization during my first year of medical school after rescuing my own two darlings from high kill shelters. Adopting Suki and Zoey gave me a quick and terrible education regarding the horrific ramifications of pet overpopulation.

PAWS was born out of an inability to forget the faces of the many dogs I could not adopt and had to leave behind. My wonderful husband and I are very proud rescue parents.

Helping build PAWS has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

It has allowed to me forge friendships with the most remarkable women who share my convictions. It has also been a wildly empowering experience as I witness what the work of just a few dedicated people can accomplish. Rescue work is often challenging and heartbreaking, but making a connection that changes both a person and a pet’s life makes all the tears worth it.

I could not be more proud of the organization we have built.
